Belgian mobile service revenues fall nearly 8% in Q2 as Covid restrictions hit roaming income

(Telecompaper) The Belgian mobile market slowed significantly in the second quarter, after the country was put on lockdown to stem the spread of the coronavirus. Mobile service revenues fell 7.8 percent year-on-year to EUR 646 million, accelerating from an annual drop of just 1.2 percent in Q1 2020, research by Telecompaper shows.

Vodafone underlying service revenue turns lower in Q1 as pandemic reduces roaming, business revenue

(Telecompaper) Vodafone's underlying service revenues turned lower again in its fiscal first quarter to June, with a drop of 1.3 percent in organic service revenue compared to growth of 1.6 percent in the previous quarter. The company blamed the drop on less roaming revenue and slower business activity due to the Covid-19 pandemic and said it still expects to meet its targets for full-year EBITDA and cash flow.

Free Mobile and Orange seek Arcep's approval to extend national roaming deal to 2022

(Telecompaper) French telecom authority Arcep announced that Free Mobile and Orange have agreed to extend their existing national roaming partnership, which was last updated in June 2016. The regulator said that it is examining the amended contract and is seeking the views of other market stakeholders as part of its assessment.
