Germany boosts broadband funds to EUR 4 billion

(Telecompaper) Germany's Digital Infrastructure Minister Alexander Dobrindt has announced an additional EUR 1.3 billion of funding for the federal broadband programme to boost internet connectivity in areas not served by commercial providers. Combined with the EUR 2.7 billion already provided, this boosts total funding for the project to EUR 4 billion.
