Main Responsibilities The postholder will focus on the below main responsibilities Continuous communication with Advanced Computing ICT Support Unit staff for the performance of routine housekeeping activities. Provide onrequest support to the users of the information systems. Provide support during the deployment of new releases of applications. Collect and clarify the relevant documentation in terms of deployment, system configuration, DBMS requirements and client workstations requirements. Follow up the development activities of the systems and provide assistance during the testing phases. Implement minor technical and functional enhancements to applications or add new business functionality in order to satisfy new or changed business needs. Enhance applications to improve performance, usability or other functional and nonfunctional aspects of the information systems. Diagnosing the cause of applications malfunctions and solving them in the relevant components. Successful Candidate The successful Candidate will bring Experience in the design and development of multitier Javabased web applications using bleedingedge frontend frameworks coupled with Javabased backends HeShe will have an indepth working knowledge of 1 at least one modern JavaScript frontend framework in addition to Angular 2 of the Java Persistence API JPA 3 of the Spring Framework The candidate will need to have working experience in JEE Experience in microservice architectures, data modelling and database design will be an advantage. Main Responsibilities The postholder will focus on the below main responsibilities The requested expertise concerns the backend, meaning everything related, to the business logic, performance, security and persistence layers in Web applications. Develop REST APIs Analyse and implement new functionalities, Apply corrective maintenance to existing systems Deploy new releases in different environments Analyse, implement and maintain the database model Write tests Write technical documentation Successful Candidate In order to execute the above mentioned tasks, the following expertise is required Excellent knowledge of JavaJEE frameworks and build tools Spring, Maven, etc. Good knowledge of modular architectures Good knowledge of Agile methodologies Good knowledge of TDD Tests Driven Development Good knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL and PLSQL Good knowledge of RESTSOAP APIs Good writing skills Knowledge of frontend technologies HTML, CSS, Javascript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, npm, ngrx, etc..
