Samsung Electronics has temporarily suspended business with one of its Chinese suppliers, after a labor watchdog group accused the factory of hiring five underage workers. The South Korean company said Monday its own investigations uncovered evidence of the illegal hiring at the supplier, Dongguan Shinyang Electronics. Local Chinese authorities are also looking into the matter, it said.

(Telecompaper) Samsung has temporarily suspended business with one of its suppliers, Dongguan Shinyang Electronics, after conducting an investigation prompted by China Labor Watch report on 10 July accusing the Chinese supplier of employing children. Samsung's investigation found evidence of that its supplier hired children on 29 June and its decision was taken in accordance with the company's zero tolerance policy on child labour.
