Jury deliberating Amarillo flight diversion case

An Amarillo federal jury on Friday was deliberating the case of a Fort Worth man accused of interference with a flight crew linked to a Southwest Airlines flight diverted to Amarillo after an attendant complained about a drunken passenger's conduct. Zachary Marshall Ziba, a man in his 20s, was indicted in February in Amarillo's U.S. District Court on a charge on interference with flight crew.

Potter Valley water diversion variance public comment period open until June 2

On May 13, PG&E filed a petition with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to request a temporary variance in the flows released from Lake Pillsbury through the Potter Valley Water Project. The company is concerned that Lake Pillsbury may fall below its target storage level of 10,000 acre feet, which could damage the reservoir and cause high levels of turbidity in the river.
