Bryan Middleton, center, was among several city of Boulder employees testing the new Civic Area Wi-Fi network on Friday. The free wireless Internet launches April 7. Boulder is in the process of installing a public wireless Internet access system in the Civic Area, roughly between the Boulder Main Public Library and 13th Street, between Arapahoe Avenue and Canyon Boulevard.

That's because Richmond City Council approved a $258,000 free public WiFi program that will see the installation of wireless connections at recreation centres, arenas, pools and some parks and public spaces.
