Macintosh Users Support IT Administrator mf The Challenge We are looking for a Macintosh users support ITAdministrator, who will give 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support to approx.220 Macintosh users, mainly in Science and Public Relations Departments. Service activities will include following tasks Deployment, Testing, Operations Maintenance and User Support Install and reinstall Macintosh computers based on a standard image Maintain release new version of the standard image including all the ESO specific software Carefully backup and reintegrate user data in the case of reinstallations reconfigure email clients, VPN clients, .profile, printers Administer a SW repository Install and manage the licenses of optional software mainly of Adobe and Matlab Preanalyze defective HW and manage repairs through an external service provider Commission and administer a remote management and installation system such as ENTEO or Absolute Use ticket system, Room booking System, asset management systems and documentation systems provided by ESO Administer up to two backup servers for Mac OS X based clients OnCall duty during any time outside the normal support hours Update and create Technical Documentation This is a fulltime position, located at ESO headquarters in Garching near Munich, Germany, with a planned starting date 1st of July 2015. Your Qualifications Applicants shall have a university degree in System integration, software engineering or equal qualification and at least 2 years of experience in similar field. The ideal candidate has an ITIL Foundation level certificate and is an Apple Certified associate, including some knowhow on common programs, such as Office 2011 other Mail clients Thunderbird, Apple Mail Citrix VPN clients Time Machine Understanding of different approaches to install software pkg, dmg sound understanding of Mac OS X components Disk Utility Migration Manager some Unix related skills bash and bash scripting basic basic knowhow on Mac OS X specific terminal commands Profile and similar scripts executed at login X based applications SSH user skills RSYNC Knowhow of the following management systems in a Mac OS X environment ENTEO and Absolute Other desirable qualifications Previous experience in a similar administrative role Excellent command of the English language consultant operating onsite within a customer organisation Some exposure to ESO or a similar international andor scientific organization Apple Certified Support Professional ACSP and Apple Certified System Administrator ACSA Terma offers At Terma, we consider skilled employees, enthusiasm and job satisfaction as the very foundation of our success and as a prerequisite for the development of the bestinclass solutions that Terma provides.
