Arya.ai's Braid Aims to Weave Together Neural Network Components

Startup Arya.ai on Monday introduced Braid, an open source tool available for free to companies developing neural networks. Braid is a flexible, customizable, modular meta-framework that works with operating systems for deep learning, according to the company. It is designed for rapid development and to support arbitrary network designs. It is simple and scalable, Arya.ai said.

Ericsson announces new 5G NR radio components

(Telecompaper) Ericsson has announced the commercialisation of the world's first 5G NR radio for massive MIMO, with the first deployments coming in 2017. Together with the Ericsson 5G Plug-Ins announced in June and the company's already commercially available Radio System Baseband 5216, Ericsson said it's the first company to deliver all components of a 5G access network. The new 5G radio components include AIR 6468, which combines advanced antennas with a large number of steerable ports to enable 5G technologies of beamforming, Massive MIMO and Multi-user MIMO. Companies such as AT&T, Swisscom and China Mobile have already committed to using Ericsson's new radio product to help them integrate 5G technologies into existing networks.
