Cloud storage and file-sharing fever has hit Zimbra. The company has acquired Mezeo to expand its product lineup, which includes the Zimbra Collaboration email and calendaring system and the Zimbra Community ESN (enterprise social networking) suite.

Like a pinball, Zimbra bounces again, now to Telligent from VMware

Telligent has acquired Zimbra from VMware in order to give its enterprise social networking suite an enterprise email and calendaring component. For Zimbra, it's the second time it's been sold since 2010, when VMware acquired it from Yahoo. Zimbra to make HTML5 push in next version

VMware's Zimbra division has provided a preview of some of the enhancements it's working on for the next major release of the ZCS (Zimbra Collaboration Server), including an HTML5 Web client interface for both online and offline access to the product. Currently, ZCS has both a Web interface and a desktop application, but the goal is to merge the two experiences so that users will be able to work both online and offline via the same client interface.
