Masco board OKs spin off of Daytona unit

The World's Most Famous Beach - home to three public companies: International Speedway Corp., Brown & Brown and Consolidated-Tomoka - will soon add a fourth company to its list. Taylor, Michigan-based Masco Corp.'s board of directors this week approved the company's previously announced plans to spin off its Daytona Beach-based Masco Administrative Services division as an independent publicly traded company.

Agency OKs Union Pacific plan Updated at

The San Joaquin County Planning Commission on Thursday granted a request by Union Pacific Railroad for a 40-year term limit to complete a proposed expansion project at its intermodal facility in French Camp. The commission voted 3-0 to approve a development agreement with the railroad company that would set a time limit on land use approvals and infrastructure improvements on a 278-acre property located at 1000 Roth Road.
