EU's clothing imports have suddenly rebounded in October, with shipments from Bangladesh surging over stable export prices in the country. By contrast, China has lost market shares due to the rise of its unit values in both euro and dollar terms. A recovery of the euro may boost EU's imports in 2019, whereas the fall of clothing retail sales and the Brexit may depress European demand. Nylon prices are further sliding in the current period, however, whereas wool prices are recovering. Polyester Fiber & Yarn Price Comparison: China vs. India and Pakistan (Monthly Report)

Polyester fiber prices have more or less dropped in China, India and Pakistan in November with margins however moving into different directions at spinning mills, if considering 100% PSF yarns. Spinners have begun digesting inventories before being able to lower their offers. The yarn/fiber spread has improved in China and India, however dropping in Pakistan. Our monthly report compares polyester staple fiber and polyester spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan, in both local currency terms and US$ terms.
