BART has terminated its wireless Internet service in underground train stations in San Francisco and Oakland to clear the path for finding a new provider, the rapid transit district announced Monday. Wi-Fi Rail Inc. had an agreement with BART to start and operate the free Wi-Fi service in hopes that it would be expanded and become commercially sustainable with either fees or advertising.
