Tunisia awards three LTE licences for over USD 200 mln

(Telecompaper) The Tunisian ICT and digital economy ministry has awarded LTE licences to the country's three operators, Tunisie Telecom, Orange Tunisia and Ooredoo Tunisia. All three were above the opening price of TND 155 million (approx USD 69 mln). Tunisie Telecom paid TND 155.101 million, Orange TND 156.331 million and Ooredoo TND 160 million. Moroccan news site Kapitalis.com writes that the operators have two weeks to present their payment guarantee and two more to complete the payment.
