Canadian factory sales rose more than expected in July to a new record, led by a jump in auto shipments. Sales climbed 2.5 per cent to C$53.7-billion , surpassing the previous peak of C$53.2-billion set in July 2008 before the last recession, Statistics Canada said today in Ottawa.
