Lincoln Electric sales and profits down slightly

Dividends are up, but both sales and net income at Lincoln Electric Holdings fell slightly in the last three months of 2014. In a report issued this morning, Lincoln said its fourth quarter 2014 net income was $75.2 million, 96 cents per share, on sales of $684 million.

The Columbus research organization for welding and other means of joining materials invented the training system that provides instant feedback on proper use of actual welding equipment rather than a computer simulation. Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc., one of the largest global makers of welding equipment, has acquired EWI spinoff RealWeld Systems Inc., which makes a system to train new welders.
