A battle is heating up between online travel sites and U.S. hotels over the best way to book your hotel room. The American Hotel and Lodging Association, the trade group for hotels in the U.S., is pushing for legislation to crack down on fraudulent online booking sites that trick travelers into paying for hotel rooms but have no relation to the hotels.

The sale proceeds are being utilised for the retirement of debt, Indian Hotels Company said in a filing to BSE. Tata Group hospitality arm Indian Hotels Company has said its overseas arm Samsara Properties has sold over 12.7 lakh shares or 1.24% of Belmond for a consideration of $11.96 million to pare debt.
