Officials have now closed Biloxi West Central Beach and are advising residents not to consume seafood collected from the nearshore waters. Stretching from Travia Avenue to Iberville Drive, Biloxi West Central Beach is closed, according to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.

Public Wi-Fi unsafe, security expert warns

The caution comes after a Brisbane man reported losing thousands of dollars from his Westpac account after using public Wi-Fi at Sydney Airport. Comedian Casey Talbot told 612 ABC that cyber thieves stole more than $10,000 from his account on Thursday, about two weeks after logging on to the airport's Wi-Fi network.

In a recent Lookout survey of more than 1,000 smartphone owners, 52% of those who claimed to be security savvy didn't read privacy policies before downloading mobile apps, 34% didn't set a PIN or passcode on their phones, and 35% downloaded mobile apps from unofficial marketplaces. The survey also found that those who claim to be privacy experts are most likely to partake in risky mobile behavior, like connecting their smartphones to unsecured public Wi-Fi networks, visiting unfamiliar sites on their phones, and plugging their phones into public charging stations.
