Group launches "Syngenta lawsuit for GMO corn seed web page"

The Oliver Law Group P.C. announced that it has launched a Syngenta lawsuit for GMO Corn Seed web page to provide the public with information about the litigation surrounding Agrisure Viptera, a variety of genetically modified corn seed which has not been approved for sale in China. According to a recent report from The Wall Street Journal, China has rejected numerous shipments of U.S. corn that contain the Agrisure Viptera variety, which resulted in an 85% reduction of such shipments in the first seven months of 2014.

Japan, South Korea could stop testing for GMO wheat

Japan and South Korea are continuing to test the U.S. wheat they buy to make sure the grain is not contaminated with an experimental version developed by Monsanto Co, but could soon stop the practice, the head of a U.S. wheat association said. The two countries, which are among the top purchasers of U.S. wheat, have been sampling and testing all the U.S. wheat they have purchased since last year, when news broke that a farmer in Oregon had found Monsanto's unapproved biotech wheat growing in his field, according to U.S. Wheat Associates, which markets American wheat to international buyers.

Monsanto spends $4.7 million to fight Colorado GMO labeling initiative

Monsanto Company has given $4.7 million to defeat a Colorado measure to label foods containing genetically modified organisms in the state, according to the Colorado Secretary of State's office.
