Lenovo developing first Google Project Tango smartphone

(Telecompaper) Lenovo has announced at CES that it's working with Google to develop the first Project Tango smartphone. In a brief statement, the company said the device will be available in the summer and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Google's Project Tango is a technology platform that uses advanced computer vision, depth sensing and motion tracking to create on-screen 3D experiences, allowing users to explore their physical environments via their device. Lenovo added that, as part of the partnership, the companies will be inviting developers to help grow the Project Tango app ecosystem.
