Lenovo results recover in Q1 as home working boom drives computer demand

(Telecompaper) Lenovo reported a strong recovery in results for its fiscal first quarter. After overcoming the supply chain problems earlier in calendar 2020, the company grew revenue almost 7 percent year-on-year to USD 13.3 billion in the three months to June, supported by the strong demand for computers for home working and learning. Net profit rose 31 percent to USD 213 million.

Tasks and Responsibilities Verification of compliance of the customers product quality assurance requirements with internal quality standards Ensuring correct compliance with product and quality assurance regulations including compliance with applicable business processes within the project framework Monitoring and control of all product or quality assurance activities including the coordination of all necessary disciplines e.g. quality assurance for engineering and MAIT, supply quality assurance, PMPMP, EEE, RAMS Active design of the interface to the internal customer with regard to product and quality assurance aspects in the project, including internal and external reporting Definition, creation and delivery of the required product assurance documentation, creation of data packages Conducting important milestone meetings MIPs, KIPs, TRRs, TRBs, DRBs, hellip, consolidation of the risk register and monitoring the implementation of measures for Risk reduction Coordination and processing of disturbances, anomalies and nonconformities Support in the creation and management of RFDs RFWs Coordination, implementation and documentation of lessons learned within the project, Introduction and implementation of preventive measures in followup projects Assumption of tasks in the area of quality management of suppliers with focus on Electronic components and parts EEE parts Review of suppliers and subsuppliers with regard to their processes, materials, etc. Creation of PAD sheets and implementation of Parts Control Boards Change tracking in the area of configuration and documentation management Preparation of the acceptance documentation, verification and attestation of product conformity in Programme or project environment, in terms of legal regulations and contractual requirements Support with the preparation of offers. Requirements At least Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering comparable qualification At least 3 years of relevant work experience MSOffice at least detailed knowledge SAP at least detailed knowledge German min. Business fluent English at least business fluent French an advantage Spanish an advantage Profound knowledge and experience in quality and project management Several years of experience in electrical engineering, microelectronics, EEE parts management or comparable Knowledge of 8D error analysis is an advantage Good communication skills to ensure the flow of information The ability to integrate into a team A high degree of responsibility, resilience and organisational talent Willingness to travel approx. 23 days per month, within Europe.
