Main Responsibilities The duties of this post will include Preparing and monitoring Research and Development activities in the field of Antennas. A diverse range of tasks will have to be carried out as encompassing hardware, software and system aspects. Provide antenna technical support to ESA projects. This includes inhouse design and trade off studies to support both developments and reviews. Tasks will require the analysis and design of reflector antennas and arrays and the calculation of the interference effects between antennas and the spacecraft structure. Support all antenna development stages from design, analysis up to measurements. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate must have Knowledge of antenna Space constraints at RF, mechanical, thermal and environmental levels gained from the handling of Flight Model development or RD development at high TRL level. Knowledge of antenna industrial manufacturing, testing processes, architecture and technologies. Expertise in using antenna modelling tools GRASP8, POS4, CHAMP, HFSS. Job Description For our biggest client, the European Space Agency ESA, we are looking for an Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer for their location in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, to join their Antennae Submm Waves Section. Tasks and Responsibilities Preparing and monitoring Research and Development activities in the field of Antennas. We are looking for an Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer E3 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Providing expert technical support and consultancy to ESA projects, programmes and general studies in the field of space antenna systems, submillimeter wave instruments and associated technologies throughout all project phases Participating in project reviews and performing inhouse design and tradeoffs to support projectspecific technology developments Identifying critical development problems and assisting in their resolution Antenna measurement laboratory activities as required Defining, initiating and monitoring RD activities covering both longand shortterm needs Monitoring applicable scientific and technological trends and maintaining stateoftheart expertise.
