Using photon mapping, TracePro® v7.4 renders scenes, sources, light pipes, and instrument panels. Two-pass algorithm simulates light from user-defined sources and ambient light settings to produce rendered scene. First pass generates photon map for use in second pass. In second pass, rays are traced in reverse and photon map is used to calculate relative luminance of every pixel in rendered image.
