Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to ESA and in particular at ESTEC and ESAC. Aurora has the opportunity to expand our support to ESA. Overview The work will be performed onsite at ESTEC within the TECSYC Cost Engineering Section. The postholder principal tasks and responsibilities will be Cost models development, including cost, schedule and risk aspects Elaborate cost estimates using cost models, including schedule and cost risk estimates Projects data collection, analysis, normalisation and entry into the existing Cost Engineering database Elaborate structured and convincing cost reports according to the ESA standards Accountability records consisting in comparing in a structured manner the external estimates and prices versus the internal estimates Benchmarking and calibrating internal and external cost models Use related ESA Corporate or Cost Engineering specific software tools, documentations systems, and databases Interface with the relevant actors within the Directorate, with ESA Programme Directorates and with ESA Corporate Services. Specific qualification requirements Master Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline. Several years of cost engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace domain. Proven experience in gathering and processing reference data cost, programmatic, technical building cost models out of them. Ability to interface effectively with relevant actors at all hierarchical levels. Ability to readily assimilate and coordinate input data and provide timely output. Reliability, rigor and sense of initiative in the execution of the assigned tasks. Ability to understand and adapt to the ESA specific context and environment. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, as well as synthetic and conceptual capabilities. Autonomy, initiative and capability to set priorities and handle high workload. Ability to work and communicate effectively in English. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants must be eligible to obtain security clearance by their national security administration. Being already in possession of security clearance will be considered an asset for the selection. Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Training to improve efficiency and provide strength for future career are of course included. Aurora assist with relocation both with support and financially. Aurora contributes to a company pension scheme.
