The company is planning to move into its new headquarters by March and could make a few acquisitions before the end of the year. Earlier today Mark Sutton , the company's CEO, said International Paper is reportedly looking to acquire box conversion plants in the U.S. and box conversion and containerboard facilities in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil and Europe.

RockTenn paper mill announces merger with MeadWestvaco

RockTenn Company and MeadWestvaco Corporation announced this morning that they are merging to create a $16 billion global packaging company. The combined company, to be named prior to closing, will have combined net sales of $15.7 billion and adjusted earnings before taxes of $2.9 billion, including the impact of $300 million in estimated annual savings to be achieved over three years.
