Available in rod and profile housings, BTL7 Series provides synchronous real-time data transmission and dynamic position measurement with 1 µm resolution. Able to detect and process up to 16 position encoders, transducers output position and speed for each encoder, yielding up to 32 measured values. Selectable Ethernet interfaces include Profinet IRT, EtherCAT, and Varan. Four diagnostic LEDs on sensor head can check both sensor status and status of Ethernet connection.

Broadcom Corp., an inventor of the BroadR-Reach standard, is rolling out the company's second-generation automotive Ethernet switch portfolio, which the company designed by using a 28-nm process technology. The result is "the world's smallest and most power efficient" automotive Ethernet switches, the company claimed.
