A new bidirectional symmetrical single-line ESD protection diode comes in a compact 0.6mm x 0.3mm x 0.27mm CLP0603 package from Vishay Intertechnology. The VBUS05B1-SD0 offers low capacitance of 0.29pF and leakage current of < 0.1 A for protecting high-speed data ports and antennas from transient voltage.

Supplied in 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.27 mm package, VBUS05B1-SD0 protects high-speed data lines and antennas in mobile devices against transient voltage signals. Leads length and package size minimizes inductance, allowing fast transients, such as an ESD strike, to be clamped with minimal overshoot/undershoot. Properties include 0.29 pF typ load capacitance (0.4 pF max), <0.1 µA max leakage current at 5.5 V working voltage, 8.8 V typ breakdown voltage at 1 mA, and 18 V max clamping voltage at 2.5 A.

In hermetically sealed TDFP16 ceramic package, CHT-ELARA includes 4 independent and dielectrically isolated diodes that can be connected in series, in parallel, or in rectifier bridge. Each individual diode can sustain 80 V reverse voltage and has max forward current of 900 mA at 225°C. Diodes have junction capacitance of 15 pF at 25 V reverse voltage, forward voltage of 0.33 V for forward current of 1 mA at 225°C, and leakage current limited to 2 µA at 80 V reverse voltage and 225°C.
