IPC® announced September 2013 findings from its North American PCB Statistical Program; sales and order growth remained slow, and book-to-bill ratio slipped below parity to 0.98. Total North American PCB shipments decreased 0.7% from September 2012, and year-to-date (YTD) shipment growth, while still negative compared to same period in 2012, rose to -3.5%. Chip sales: WSTS reduces 2013 market growth estimate

Alongside reporting weak three-month averaged global chip sales for April the Semiconductor Industry Association has said that the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics organization has reduced its estimates for chip market growth for 2013 and 2014.
