Telecom Egypt submits offer to NTRA for more spectrum

Samsung wins USD 6.6 bln order from Verizon for 5G telecom gear

(Telecompaper) Samsung Electronics announced it has secured a KRW 7.9 trillion (USD 6.6 billion) order to supply 5G telecommunications equipment to Verizon, the Nikkei reported. The deal paves the way for the South Korean company to expand its presence in the US as its Chinese rival, Huawei Technologies, remains locked out of the world's largest telecom market.

Bouygues Telecom trims FY outlook as sales growth slows due to pandemic

(Telecompaper) Bouygues Telecom has trimmed its outlook for full-year results following pressure from the Covid-19 pandemic. The French operator now expects annual growth of 4 percent in services revenue due to the sharp drop in roaming, compared to a previous forecast for 5 percent growth. This follows growth of 8 percent in service revenues in the first half of the year.
