(Telecompaper) Saudi Telecom Company (STC) is in discussions to reduce its non-binding USD 2.39 billion offer for a stake in Vodafone Egypt, Bloomberg reported, citing two people with direct knowledge of the talks. The discussions come as a deadline nears for STC to move ahead with the non-binding offer first made in January. In July, the Saudi extended the memorandum of understanding for 60 days because of the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

(Telecompaper) West African carrier neutral data centre operator Rack Centre has announced an expansion to a total net lettable white space of 6,000 square metres and 13 MW of IT power capacity at its Lagos campus, ITWeb reported. This increase will supplement the expansion already under way to double existing capacity to 1.5 MW and 1,200 square metres of white space in early 2021. The report said the expansion is worth USD 100 million.

Intelsat buys Gogo commercial aviation ops for USD 400 mln in cash

(Telecompaper) Satellite operator Intelsat has signed a definitive agreement to buy the commercial aviation business of Gogo for USD 400 million in cash, subject to the usual adjustments. Gogo said it started looking for buyers earlier this month, after reporting a 55 percent drop in revenues for the second quarter.
