Security officials with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority are aware of a possible terror threat to U.S. public transit, but have received no threat specific to their extensive network of light rail and subway lines. Iraq's prime minister revealed the potential threat Thursday, telling reporters that captive Islamic State militants told his intelligence agents of an alleged plot to attack subways in the United States and Paris.
