Deutsche Bank has downgraded American Airlines Group Inc , Delta Air Lines, Inc. , United Continental Holdings Inc and Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. to Hold from Buy saying "several of our key macro indicators are suggesting a more challenging environment for 2016." The brokerage also cut the price targets of American Airlines to $46 from $55, Delta to $55 from $68, JetBlue Airways Corporation to $32 from $32 and United to $62 from $75.

The purpose of this article is to use the Capital Asset Pricing Model to demonstrate that on a risk-return basis, companies across the air freight and logistics industry have generated significantly negative returns on a risk-adjusted basis compared to companies in the passenger airline industry, which have generated alpha returns over the past three-year period.

Renewable Synthesized Iso-Paraffinic fuel has now been included in ASTM International standard D7566, Specification for Aviation Turbine Fuel Containing Synthesized Hydrocarbons. Standard has been revised to incorporate international material specifications for SIP, or low carbon aviation fuel, ensuring fuel quality equal or superior to petroleum-derived aviation turbine fuels. Primary users include fuel producers/distributors, aircraft, and fuel system/turbine engine manufacturers.
