ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Systems Modelling Simulation team is responsible to build, maintain and deploy a toolbox that allows for datadriven decision making regarding the market, product and architecture fit of future satellite communication infrastructure at SES. This toolbox is instrumental to make the best decisions in how to build future satellite infrastructure at SES. The position is responsible for developing, maintaining and deploying global geotemporal traffic models detailed demand models of satcom connectivity for each market segment that SES operates in. SES serves thousands of aircraft, hundreds of ships and many more stationary sites across the globe. We want to build models to predict where they will be and how they consume content in the future. The role would focus on bringing GIS geographic information system expertise to the team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Build software applications to make generation evaluation of traffic models easy, fast and repeatable Maintain large datasets of the respective traffic models covering the mobility, government and fixed data segments and make them accessible throughout the organization Perform tradeoff analyses between captured market demand, product and satellite infrastructure to come up with the best satellite infrastructure solution Deploy software applications on Azure to make them accessible across various departments at SES Transform large raw data sets into insights using interactive visualizations Obtain market specific knowledge from our Segment Market Managers our Market Intelligence teams and translate that into detailed traffic models. COMPETENCIES Coding PythonMatlab, or any lower level programming languages You hate repetitive, thats why we automate it. Pragmatism required, use existing libraries and software rather than reinventing the wheel. Sometimes quick dirty does the trick, other times we need to optimize for computational speed Data science practices Statistics, Machine Learning, Cleaning data, sometimes a GroupBy function is sufficient, other times we will want the predictive power that machine learning can bring Data organization Setting up entity relation models, setting up nonrelational databases SQL, ElasticSearch Geographic Information Systems GIS Lots of software exist for managing geospatial data, lets make sure to leverage that Data visualization tools Python visualization libraries, Kibana, Cesium, Google Earth , A picture is worth a thousand words Teamwork. Vous intgrerez lquipe dexpertise Radar, essentiellement consacre au support de missions internationales en altimtrie radar. La mission consiste apporter un support aux activits de dveloppement sur la plateforme de simulation RADARSPY. Cette plateforme consiste en un ensemble de bibliothques regroupant des fonctionnalits diverses en simulation et traitement des chos radar daltimtrie, de diffusiomtrie ou dimagerie SAR au sein des services DSOSIIP et DSOSITR du CNES. Cette plateforme a pour but de servir despace mutualis de dveloppement au sein des services du CNES concerns. Dautre part, ltude consistera poursuivre le dveloppement des fonctions de gnration du signal, de simulation de la chane instrument et de gnration de produits afin de dvelopper les fonctionnalits cls identifies par le CNES.
