Virginia counties seek state monitoring of pipeline project

Four Virginia counties want the state to monitor a proposed natural gas pipeline's construction to ensure erosion and sediment controls are adequate. The Boards of Supervisors in Craig, Roanoke, Giles and Montgomery counties have asked Gov. Terry McAuliffe to ensure that the Department of Environmental Quality has the resources to be a watchdog for the Mountain Valley Pipeline project.
