Motorist's video shows Indego bicyclists using I-676

TWO CYCLISTS riding Indego bikes got a taste of life in the fast lane when they cruised down Interstate 676 Sunday night. A video captured by a driver's dashcam shows the pair using Indego, the city's bike-sharing system, heading westbound around 10 p.m. Neither of the cyclists appears to be wearing a helmet as they ride between the edge of the far-right lane and a concrete barrier.

Snapshot of Alaska real estate market shows improvement from last year

New real estate numbers show housing sales in Alaska generally improved in the second quarter of this year, with a dip in mortgage interest rates likely a major driver behind homebuying decisions, a state real estate economist said. In Anchorage, 824 homes sold in the period from April to June, up from 765 during the same three months last year, according to statistics from the Alaska Association of Realtors .

Leaked internal memo shows federal regulator's concerns about lead in Flint's water

Amazon's Chief Technology Officer, Werner Vogels, took the stage on Thursday in New York as part of Amazon's AWS Summit roadshow to extoll the virtues of Amazon's cloud, known as Amazon Web Services. During the talk, Vogels showed one slide that pretty well summed up why Amazon is the 800-pound gorilla in the burgeoning cloud computing market, despite competition from Microsoft, Google, IBM, Oracle, and many others.
