We are currently looking for a Radio Navigation Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Radio Navigation Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be based at the Technology Centre ESTEC of the European Space Agency ESA. In this role you will be responsible for Supporting Navigation End to end Validation activities in particular in the area of Public Regulated Service PRS Integration, Validation and Qualification of ESA PRS End to End Validation Tools in order to establish are reference frame of tools for ESA and Member States PRS Test Benches Establishing a trainingvalidation program in the ESA Classified premises that enables any PRS Participant to either bring their PRS prototype receiver or use an ESA PRS Receiver TURP in order to undergo a compressed Validation Training Program with ESA experts Supporting the PRS Ground Receivers Integration in Galileo Remote Sites through the preparation of the Site Accreditation and Equipment Qualification Data Packages and supporting the installation onsite Provision of adhoc support to PRS Member State Test Benches whenever required to ESA Galileo Security Office. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related specialization Strong knowledge on the design of satellite navigation systems, ranging and positioning techniques, RF, key management and, signal processing techniques, and digital navigation receivers Several years of experience with the GNSS and GALILEO systems and equipment Working knowledge of implementation, maintenance and operation of complex Radio Navigation simulation and test facilities testing receivers and applications Eligibility for security clearance Fluency in English is mandatory, the knowledge of another European language will be an advantage. This job is 40 hours per week and is located in Noordwijk. We are looking for candidates who are available from July 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
