Warner Bros to releases all cinema titles simultaneously on HBO Max in 2021

(Telecompaper) Warner Bros has followed the recent news that its film 'Wonder Woman 1984' will be released simultaneously on AT&T's streaming service HBO Max and in US theatres by announcing that it will pursue the same model for all 17 of its planned releases for 2021. In a statement, the company said the films will be available on HBO Max in the US for 1 month, in 4K Ultra HD and HDR, at no additional charge concurrent with their domestic theatre release. Following the 1-month HBO Max access period, each film will leave the platform and continue theatrically in the US and international territories, with all customary distribution windows applying to the title.

HBO Max to expand into Latin America and Europe in 2H 2021

The head of HBO Max Global, Andy Forssell, has said that, during the second half of 2021, HBO Max would be expanding into Latin America and Europe. HBO Max's US launch was in May this year.

HBO Max customers to get free access to 'Wonder Woman 1984' at cinema release

(Telecompaper) AT&T's new streaming service HBO Max will get a boost at Christmas with the simultaneous release of the film 'Wonder Woman 1984' in cinemas and online in the US. The operator's studio Warner Bros said it would put the film on HBO Max for a month from the same day as its release in theatres.

WarnerMedia has announced that HBO Max will begin rolling out on Amazon Fire TV streaming devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Fire tablets on Tuesday, November 17. HBO Max is WarnerMedias D2C streaming offering.

HBO Max at 4.1M; AT&T U.S. down 954k; Vrio down 2.5M video subs in 2Q 2020

AT&T (NYSE:T) has reported results for Q2 2020. HBO Max had 4.1 million subscribers after 1 month of operation.For the quarter, U.S. video subscribers were down 854,000, and Vrio subscribers were down 312,000 excluding the closure of DIRECTV Venezuela.
