LG launches family of PVRs based on ViXS XCode 4200 SoCs

ViXS Systems has announced that the ViXS XCode 4200 family has been selected for LG's PVR STB models. Using the XCode SoC, LG has combined STB, recording and networking functions with media transcoding to pioneer a new wave of enhanced STB PVR products.

ViXS, Unihan, Lantiq and Morega Announce Home Media Gateway Platform

ViXS Systems has announced a home media gateway platform, Forge, developed in partnership with Unihan, Lantiq and Morega Systems. Forge combines internet access, voice services, and wireless delivery of premium video, pictures and music throughout the home and beyond.
