We are currently looking for an Electrical AIT and AIV Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Electrical AIT and AIV Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the TECSWM section, you will have the following responsibilities Monitoring the AIT and verification plans produced by the satellite prime contractor and ensuring that they are coherent and consistent with the baseline schedule via regular AIT meetings at the prime contractors premises Identifying potential risks to the schedule and identifying workaround solutions and risk mitigations which can be implemented Reviewing and commenting test specifications and test procedures and participating to TRRs and PTRs as the representative of the project in coordination with the ADMAeolus Instrument and AIT, Engineering and PA Managers Monitoring and participating in functional test preparations debugging and assessing readiness for formal test executions including readiness of EGSE Participating in NRBs and TRBs as one of the representatives of the project Supporting the verification control process by review of VCDs and participation to VCBs Monitoring and enabling that there is adequate support for AIT activities and AIT reviews, both within industry and ESA Ensuring that environmental test facilities are in a state of readiness for the satellite test campaigns. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Master degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience Extensive experience of satellite system level functional and performance testing Good knowledge of GSE operations and infrastructure Practical experience of working in AIT ideally for at least one complete satellite test campaign in an AIT role. Experience of environmental test campaigns preparation would be a major asset Experience in optics andor thermal system control engineering would be an asset Experience with CCS based on SCOS2000 SW Experience of satellite verification engineering Knowledge of ECSS standards in system engineering, testing and verification Good interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment An ability to work independently and to establish good working relations with ESA and industrial counterparts is essential Available to travel and work on shifts during mechanical and thermal test campaigns Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. A proven ability to work in a project team with a sense of cooperation and negotiation with colleagues at ESA or within Industry is also required The function will require availability of the incumbent to witness tests and to participate to AIT activities for relative long periods abroad, up to several months in the case of the satellite launch campaign The incumbent will be required to demonstrate good technical understanding and analytic skills for industry provided documentation and information Taking into account the status of the project, knowledge of the Bepi Colombo spacecraft is considered an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Main responsibilities Tasks and Responsibilities As Electrical AIV AIT Engineer you will be part of TECSWM System Modelling Functional Verification Section, Software Systems Division, System, Software InOrbit Demonstration Department and support the Sentinel 3 Project. You will support the ESA Sentinel3 project for all the aspect relevant to the implementation of the Assembly, Integration and Test of the Sentinel3 B, CD Spacecraft. These activities will be performed in close cooperation with the project Team, and under supervision of the Sentinel3 Spacecraft Engineering AIV Manager. In particular the tasks include Ensuring a proper definition and implementation of the Assembly, Integration and Test activities at all Spacecraft levels, including definition of test documentation Supporting the coordination of all AIT related matters, including payloads, subsystem and equipment related tasks Supporting the Sentinel3 Team in the realisation of the Verification control process, including requirements traceability, allocation of verification methods, definition of verification documentation and final verification closeout Supporting the Sentinel3 Team in the definition of an AIT Programme consistent with the imposed constraints and the required testing to achieve system requirements verification, qualification and acceptance Supporting the maintenance and evolutions of Ground Support Equipment, including system databases, required to support of the AIT programme Supporting the optimized definition of environmental tests and the selection of adequate test facilities Supporting the monitoring of integration and test activities at industrial premises Supporting the relevant test reviews at all levels Contributing to the control of integration and test activities at all levels, in particular identifying schedule criticality and supporting problem solving activities Supporting the NCR discussions and the related NRB as appropriate. Ideal candidate Requirements You should bring a Masters degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, at least 4 years of relevant working experience and the following Practical experience of working in spacecraft AIT Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team within the boundaries of assigned tasks and a stringent schedule Experience in Assembly, Integration, Test of Flight Hardware, in particular Satellite AIT Good knowledge of GSE operations and infrastructure Experience in using DOORS for requirements traceability, allocation of verification methods and requirement verification Experience relevant to verification through simulation models, will also be considered Proficient in the English language spoken and written Extensive experience of system level functional and performance testing Experience in test result exploitation Electrical signal verification, analysis of test results generated by automated test scripts, etc. and anomaly investigation Experience with ESA projects is an asset. Ability to travel to the satellite prime contractors premises frequently and to act as onsite support where appropriate during the satellite test and launch campaigns.
