Mechanical AIV AIT Engineering Specific Tasks Support Agency projects on AIVAIT issues, in particular environmental testing including follow up of industry activities. Support the Customers of the Test Centre through all project phases, taking into account project requirements and performance of facilities. Support Agency projects with respect to model philosophy definition, requirement specification, planning, costing, risk assessment, test execution and verification control. Support Agency project studies and reviews n the Concurrent Design Facility at ESTEC in the domain programmatics and AIVAIT. Participate in formal project reviews and tender evaluation boards, usually in the AIV panel. Participate in the development of new methods and tools, the preparation and implementation of investments. Education and skills Educational background in aerospace or mechanical engineering Experience in satellite AIV and environmental testing. Position Reference 104 You will have the opportunity to provide engineering support to ESA in Fucino, Italy. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Organize the GCSOPS coordination meetings Provide the onsite interface between the Galileo Ground Control Segment GCS Prime and the Operations Team for issues regarding access to GCS infrastructure. Provide the interface and coordinating the ESA GCS Team, ESA PA, GCS Prime and the Operations Team for the management of anomalies and changes in the GCS infrastructure. In particular this includes supporting the onsite Anomaly Review and Change Control Boards. Monitoring the GCS Prime onsite activities with respect to the agreed plans and schedules, and to report on any issues arising from lack of adequate resources. Supporting the review and monitoring of the GCS Prime plans and schedules of onsite activity and ensuring that they are compatible with Operations Team constraints, and constraints arising from the Element Procurement activities. Ensuring that the agreed training tools, courses and materials are made available to the Operations Team at the agreed dates Ensuring that the GCS Prime maintain a proper configuration control system for all onsite data, including ILS data, inventory data, SW installed and segment configuration data. Ensure that an integrated and verified subset of the GCS is successfully and timely handed over to OPS Prime Spaceopal to support each planned SVT and SCTC End to End test. Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the deployment, verification or validation of any element. Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the overall segment AIV strategy or planning. Participate in the testing and validation of the various infrastructure elements of the Galileo Ground Control Segment. Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Participation in research and development activities in the area of mission data systems. Your day to day activities As an AIV Engineer in our team, you will be working on a Mission Critical System that is part of the Galileo infrastructure. You will contribute to the security aspects and data protection of this navigation mission. Your main task will be verification of the component and element requirements, which includes writing, updating and running test procedures. You design for each test stage and document the test specifications. You are also responsible for the integration and maintenance of the Reference Systems according to the requirements.
