Students participating in Team America Rocketry Challenge displayed their rockets for President Obama at the White House Science Fair for third time since 2010. Students from Memphis, TN and San Antonio, TX represented more than 55,000 students pursuing STEM education who have taken part in world’s largest rocket competition over past 11 years. Salt Lake Tribune: Rob Gillies and his team gather data on Nepals changing climate for a research project. They log temperatures, raindrops and snow. They pump the numbers into powerful computers and read the trend lines the computers spit out. Gillies sees the numbers in human terms, too. Global warming is likely to mean less water, putting crops and livestock in peril, along with nourishment for children who already dont get enough to eat. That leaves the climate scientist with questions instruments cant answer....
