(Telecompaper) The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has commenced a public inquiry into whether the wholesale ADSL service should continue to be regulated. The ACCC first declared access to the wholesale ADSL service in February 2012. The ACCC is required to review the declaration before it expires in February of next year.

ACCC says LG misled Aussies over TV rights

The consumer watchdog is taking LG Electronics to the Federal Court for the second time in a decade, this time for misleading Australians over their rights over faulty TVs. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission says the South Korean firm made false or misleading representations when it told customers they had no rights once the manufacturer's warranty had expired.
