Casella Waste Systems Chairman and CEO John Casella received $3,283,022 in total compensation in 2016, up significantly from $1,255,634 in 2015 and $958,653 in 2014.  Casella received $468,180 in salary, $1,331,242 in stock awards, $134,000 in option awards, $1,318,231 in non-equity incentive plan compensation and $21,369 in other compensation. He has been CEO of the waste and recycling company since 1993. He also has served as chairman of Casella Waste Management Inc. since 1977. In addition, he is an executive officer and director of Casella Construction Inc., a company owned by John and Doug Casella.
