Ambitious Space Company is looking for an ADCS Software Engineer for our Virginia office Join the US team in a rapidly growing international satellite company! We are looking for an ADCS Software Engineer with experience in software development for advanced satellite platforms. You will have the opportunity to become part of an internationally oriented and dedicated team aiming at providing exceptional Nanosatellite solutions to customers on the global market. Position Summary The ADCS Software engineer will have responsibility for doing simulations and system implementation for customer projects, as well as customer training, satellite operations and development of new ADCS components. The successful candidate must be experienced in all aspects of software development including requirements definition, architecture development, design, implementation, integration, verification and validation. The position will be responsible for full product life cycle development from concept development to flight hardware and mission support. Interactions with external suppliers and customers will require the engineer to have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Responsibilities Software product lifecycle development and implementation of ADCS on the GomSpace platform, including maintenance and development of ADCS functionalities Design and validation of attitude and orbit controllers and determination techniques Assist project teams and sales in attitude and orbit simulations Sensor and satellite calibration and data fitting Preparation of documentation according to applied space engineering standards Support additional embedded software applications on various spacecraft systems Required Qualifications 510 years of experience as a software engineer with control theory, dynamic systems and state estimation Knowledge about embedded software, CC and Python Good understanding of modern digital hardware and architecture Experience with MATLAB and Simulink Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university Given the nature of the work, applicant must be a US Person as defined by US ITAR and EAR regulations Desired Qualifications Experience with satellites, particularly nanosatellites andor communication satellites Strong knowledge about sensor fusion and sensor calibration Knowledge in protocol security and authentication mechanism and concepts is a plus Experience with Linux OS Ability to obtain a US DoD security clearance GomSpace offers employment in a dynamic growing and internationally oriented company with many challenging and exciting activities.
