AIV Engineer for Aeolus PDGS phase DE1 1715081 Job Description We are looking for an AIV Engineer for our client ESRIN, in Frascati, Italy. You will be providing management and specialised engineering support to each Earth Explorers Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS manager for the Phase DE1. Your activities will include PDGS Integration and Validation phase GS Integration and Validation phase Launch preparation and Commissioning phase To perform the above role, you should be well familiar with PDGS Design documentation PDGS Operations Concept Document Interface Control Documents PDGS Commissioning Implementation Plan Ground Segment Validation Plan Your activities will include contributing to PDGS Integration and Validation Plans, Procedures and Reports Technical notes, Minutes of Meetings, reports, review item discrepancies and problem and anomaly reports within the scope of the work package Definition and creation of the test data for PDGS Integration and Validation GS Validation Plan, Procedures and Validation Reports Preparation of PDGS operational documentation PDGS commissioning Plan and reports Weekly Operations reports during commissioning Adhoc developed tools You shall also provide the following support Maintenance of the PDGS Integration and Validation Plan and Procedures Generation completion of Tests Procedures and Test Scripts Preparation, organisation and execution of the PDGS Integration and Validation tests Analysis of the PDGS Integration and Validation test results and generation of test reports Contribution to PDGS Test Readiness Reviews and Test Review Boards Generation of the GS Validation Plan and Procedures Preparation, organisation and execution of the GS Validation test Analysis and reporting of the GS Validation test results Participation to the GS Test Readiness Reviews and Test Review Boards Management of the Anomaly Reports resulting from the test execution, and coordination of the implementation of mitigation actions Management of the operators training and contribution to preparation of operational training documentation Definition and documentation of the PDGS Commissioning Implementation Plan Preparation and execution of PDGS commissioning activities Preparation of the launch and implementation of rehearsal activities PDGS system behaviour monitoring and reporting during commissioning Preparation of the Operational setup for phase E2 and for the PDGS Transfer To Operations Generation of technical notes whenever needed during the Project lifetime Operations of the various supporting tools e.g. Documentation Management System Participation to Ground Segment Reviews and PDGS reviews organised either by ESA or by Industry Adhoc development of tools for the accomplishment of the PDGS testing and validation Travel may be requested from 2 to 6 missions per year might be required depending on the project phase. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent qualification in engineering Strong experience in integration and validation test activities, preferably in the field of Earth Observation Ground Segments Good ability to plan ahead and follow schedule of testing activity Experience in System and Software anomalies management reporting, analysis, classification and resolution Experience or knowledge of the ECSS standards and as an asset documentation and configuration control management techniques Knowledge of the ESA Earth Explorers missions and instruments and processes related to their PDGS development would be an asset Programming skills in order to develop tools for the accomplishment of the PDGS testing and validation Work Location Frascati, Italy Dates Application Deadline 08 November 2017 Start of Work January 2018 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
