RHEA is currently recruiting an AOCS Expert to support a space project at our clients premises in Toulouse, France. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Development of two AOCS modes TTM Thruster Transition Mode and TNM Thruster Normal Mode including gyroless estimation function Development of two AOCS functions ephemeris onboard propagation function and ground attitude guidance onboard propagation Coengineering with system team to gain detailed understanding of mission requirements concerning TTM and TNM and ephemeris and ground attitude guidance functions Coengineering with CSW team to define ICD between the AOCS part and the rest of the CSW Design, specification and justification of the AOCS algorithms of TTM and TNM including the gyroless attitude estimation function and ephemeris and ground attitude guidance functions to meet mission requirement, in particular AOCS performances, and AOCS failure detection and isolation requirements. The following functions shall be included in the design ephemeris and ground attitude guidance functions, attitude controller, gyroless estimator and actuators commands. Modelling of the AOCS algorithms in MatlabSimulink following the Airbus Defence and Space standards in AOCS MCL SW which will be autocoded by Airbus Tuning of AOCS parameters including failure detection thresholds, if any AOCS MCL model verification Functional validation of the AOCS algorithms, by means of closedloop time simulation test cases covering all the AOCS algorithms called the Reference Test Cases Performance validation of the AOCS algorithms, including by means of closedloop time simulation test cases campaign to get significant statistical assessment of performances when required Integration of the AOCS MCL MatlabSimulink model in the overal JUICE AOCS MatlabSimulink model Execution of all the TTM and TNM Reference Test Cases defined above on the integrated AOCS MatlabSimulink simulator Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent in relevant engineering or other relevant field Experience in AOCS GNC analyses and simulations Experience with MatlabSimulink simulator for spacecraft dynamics, AOCS equipment and space environment as well as gyrostellar estimator, thruster modulator, etc Knowledge of the following equipment Star trackers, Gyros, Sun sensors, Reaction wheels, Thruster, Solar Array Drive Mechanism, etc Problem solving mindset Excellent command of English French would be a plus Great team spirit How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
