JOB DESCRIPTION GMV is looking for a highly motivated AEROSPACE ENGINEER for the development and operation of the Spanish Space Surveillance and Tracking S3T system. This system is the Spanish contribution to the programme on Space Debris of the European Union. The system warns operators about potential collisions involving theirs satellites and informs civil protection authorities on satellites about to reenter and fall onground. The successful candidate will be integrated in GMVs SSA multidisciplinary team located across several countries, with several projects currently ongoing. The work to be performed by the candidate will consist on engineering activities for the development of the Spanish SST System, developed and operated by GMV for the CDTI. The concrete tasks to be performed by the successful candidate will range from software development with strong relation with orbital mechanics and space surveillance and tracking to validation and operation of the Spanish SST Operations Centre, located in Torrejon. This work will allow to candidate to improve its knowhow on how systems are developed and operated understand the risks posed by space debris Gain handson experience on the operation of complex ground systems for space applications Work in a very dynamic environment surrounded by highly skilled and motivated engineeres Qualifications Msc.
