We are currently looking for an Aerothermodynamics Engineer to support our customer ESA in the Netherlands. Key Tasks and Responsibilities as part of the Flight Vehicles ATD Engineering Section, you will have the following responsibilities Support to specific ESA projects in the area of design for demise, flight vehicle and aerothermodynamics engineering Architecture design, analysis and technical assessment flight vehicles including reentry, expendable, and reusable vehicles Analysis and studies of the flight engineering, design for demise, and propulsion of launchers, reentry and planetary entry probes Support to propulsion modelling and mathematical analysis Use of the Section methods and tools Support to CDF in relevant areas Prediction of plumeimpingement effects onto spacecraft surface mechanical loads, heat fluxes, contamination Analysis of highaltitude thrusters performance by statistical simulation of viscous flow inside nozzles and micro nozzles etc Analysis of the numerical solutions with emphasis on the uncertainties Comparison with experimental and other numerical available data. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Master Degree or equivalent in the field of Aerospace Engineering, Physics or Mathematics Several years of working experience in the subject position Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
