BBC to launch iPlayer app for Apple TV

(Telecompaper) BBC director general Tony Hall has confirmed that the iPlayer service will be available on Apple TV in the coming months, BBC News reports. Hall said this would help bring BBC content to a wider audience. Previously, Sky was the only major broadcaster in the UK to announce an app for Apple TV boxes.
