Bangladesh Apparel Exports in 2nd Quarter 2019 (Quarterly Report)

2019-10-11 20:13:00| EmergingTextiles.com

Apparel exports from Bangladesh have begun slowing down in the second quarter to the United States and the U.K., even dropping to Germany. Exports have eventually declined in the third quarter, according to the latest data. The recent rise of minimum wages and the need to improve sustainability could have weakened the competitive advantages of Bangladesh. Our statistical series provide a comprehensive view of Bangladesh's clothing exports in the 2nd quarter 2015-2019, including volume, value, and unit value changes per destination. Data also include US and EU clothing imports from Bangladesh per product category, whereas a comprehensive benchmark comparison between Bangladesh and other countries of origin is also released. All data are available for download.
