Bangladesh Apparel Exports in Jan-Sep 2018 (Quarterly Report)

2019-01-17 20:25:03| EmergingTextiles.com

Apparel exports from Bangladesh have continued surging in the last months of 2018, benefiting from the low level of labour costs in the country. Although the minimum wage has been raised by more than 51% as of December, after a 5-year freeze, strikes and demonstrations have disrupted production in the last weeks whereas the government is trying to retake control of security checks at apparel plants. Our statistical tables provide a comprehensive view of Bangladesh's clothing exports over the last years, also covering the latest US and EU apparel import data per product category. Volume, value and unit price changes are released with all data available for download.
